What Does It Mean to Live When the Human Lifespan Is Extended?

In 2144, people no longer age. Their bodies renew every 180 days, while illness, biological deterioration, and death are regarded as technical problems of the past. The Central System determines when each person should rest, how they should be nourished, which task they should perform, and with whom they should share a living environment. In a human life preserved with flawless precision, uncertainty, personal choice, and the desire to live are gradually disappearing.

Lavanya works at the Central Experience Archive, sorting through human experiences from past centuries that the system has classified as “nonfunctional.” One day, she encounters an unscannable record linked to the year 2026, the Elvara Coast, and her own name. The record opens more than a connection between two points in time; it awakens a movement within Lavanya’s body that the system cannot explain.

It contains selected passages that preserve the flow of the narrative rather than the complete novel. At certain transitions, you will find brief omissions intended to avoid revealing events that unfold later in the book.

Now we enter a world where the human lifespan has been extended, but the desire to live has disappeared.

THE WORLD OF LAVANYA

A Perfected Life

In 2144, technology protects the human body from aging, while the Central System calculates risks, needs, and behaviors in advance. As humanity gains a safe and extended life, people move further away from making choices of their own.

A Movement Beyond the System

A movement begins within Lavanya’s body that the system cannot define. It reconnects sensation, thought, emotion, and behavior. Her first personal choice becomes a new sign of life spreading through a world of perfect order.

A Connection Between Two Times

The connection that opens between the Elvara Coast of 2026 and the Livara Region of 2144 becomes more than an archived record from the past. The movements created by humans, animals, and technology begin to reshape the shared future of both times.

INSIDE THE BOOK

LAVANYA’s twelve-chapter journey stretches from a perfected future to the Elvara Coast of 2026. Two timelines, two Lavanyas, and three living beings trace the movement that begins to reopen humanity’s connection with life.

2144: The Perfect System

Bodies are continuously renewed, and uncertainty has been eliminated. People live according to calculated outcomes rather than choices of their own.

2026: The Elvara Coast

A small act arising from everyday life reaches 118 years into the future. This record from outside the system opens the first connection between the two timelines.

Two Timelines, Two Lavanyas

Two Lavanyas living in 2026 and 2144 reach one another through the body, memory, and behavior. The movement of one creates a new space for choice in the world of the other.

Joy, Long, and Wella

Three living beings form a connection between movement, duration, and relationship that the system cannot define. Each carries a point of origin in humanity’s renewed contact with life.

The Three Dimensions of Life

Joyspan, Wellbeing, and Longevity represent three essential dimensions: generating new behavior, forming a connection with one’s environment, and sustaining the energy of life.

Together Without a Center

Control reveals how behavior becomes a rule and how that rule becomes a center. A new space opens where different living beings can coexist without taking one another’s place.

WHEN DEATH BECOMES A TECHNICAL PROBLEM, WHAT QUESTION REMAINS?

By 2144, technology has largely eliminated the vulnerability of the human body. Cells regenerate, organs are restored to their original biological age, and the possibility of illness is detected before any symptoms appear. The human lifespan is secured, while people’s daily choices, relationships, and working patterns are shaped according to the most efficient outcomes calculated by the Central System.

Lavanya works at the Central Experience Archive, examining records left behind by people of the past. Unrequited love, financial hardship, fear of failure, family resentments, and personal behaviors whose outcomes cannot be calculated in advance are classified by the system as “Nonfunctional Experience Remnants.” Lavanya’s task is to erase from the central memory any records considered to make no contribution to humanity’s development.

One day, a data cluster that the system cannot scan appears on her screen. The record belongs to the year 2026, the Elvara Coast, and another woman named Lavanya. A small act performed 118 years earlier reaches the body of the future Lavanya and initiates a movement the system cannot explain. This movement reunites sensation, thought, emotion, and personal choice within the same field.

With the participation of Joy, Long, and Wella, a new order of life begins to form through movement, duration, and connection. Within the novel, Joyspan, Wellbeing, and Longevity do not remain abstract ideas; they become living structures that reveal how humans, animals, technology, and the environment come into contact with one another.

LAVANYA explores the possibility that freedom, too, can create a center of its own. When one person’s behavior is accepted by others as the only correct path, a new system may arise. For this reason, the novel seeks connection with life not in following one individual, but in allowing every living being to enter a shared field while preserving its own point of origin.

Driven by countdowns, hidden protocols, biological records, passages between timelines, and interventions by the Central System, the story brings the reader closer not only to the future of 2144 but also to the choices being made today. The door that opens at the end of LAVANYA carries the journey into the second book of the trilogy, ELVARA: The City of the Bodiless.

NALAN KAHRAMAN — RESEARCHER & AUTHOR

Since 2008, Nalan Kahraman has been exploring the connections between human thought, emotion, the body, behavior, and lived experience. Her work examines the gap between what people know about themselves and the behaviors they produce in real moments of life through the relationship between choice, the nervous system, experience, and environment.

She brings her research to readers through fiction, research books, practical publications, and personalized analyses. In LAVANYA, she carries her work on human behavior into a science-fiction world, bringing technology, extended life, consciousness, the human-animal connection, and the possibilities of coexistence together across two timelines.

LAVANYA is the first novel in a three-book series. The journey continues with ELVARA: The City of the Bodiless and ELVANYA.
